Hello Ladies,
Welcome to another season of tennis!
Here is a little information for the coming season.
Training & Trials
The team practice nights started in October and have been exceptionally well attended. These will continue with all teams starting at 18:30 and finishing at 20:30. The standard of tennis has been exceptional and it is such a pleasure to see such a marked improvement in numerous players throughout the teams. Endorsing the fact that practice in the long term really does pay off!
From Tuesday 01 February, Steve Garbutt will be offering tactical and court awareness advice. There will be no extra charge for this, however please remember floodlight money! The Captains will continue to select their fours, focusing on partnerships and selection.
Leagues
To refresh your memories – in the Warrington League our 1st and 2nd Teams are in Division 1, 3rd and 4th are both in Division 2, 5th in Division 3, 6th in Division 5 and our 7th team is in Division 6. Therefore we all have challenging tennis ahead of us!
We are a unique club as we also participate in the North East Cheshire League; this is great as it enables us to play lots of quality tennis! However, it does mean that we have to be a little more organised and committed. On this note can I ask everyone who is interested in playing both leagues to organise their diaries using the availability sheets provided. Often matches are lost due to lack of availability – we need you so please keep the dates clear!

Social
Jacquie’s Clubhouse Cafe will be open every Saturday 9 – 5pm. She will be serving homebaked cakes,fresh coffee, paninis etc. Yum yum!! This is such a luxury to have, however, if we don’t use her we’ll lose her. So, please support her as much as you can.
Ladies Tennis Day Sunday 27th March 12 noon. Paninis & Pimms – a little pre season taster! All standards very welcome.
Start of season Party/Meeting Tuesday 29th March in the clubhouse 8:30pm after match practice. Captains will confirm with you food arrangements etc nearer to the time. All lady members of course are invited and welcome!

Non League Players
Although you may not play league tennis we don’t want you to think we have forgotten you! Please feel free to contact me if you are struggling finding people to hit with, I can easily put you in contact with players of a similar ability. Additionally, if you would like to play league tennis let me know and I will give you the contact number for the relevant team captain.
Don’t forget the social tennis on a Wednesday evening 6:45pm! With a G&T in the clubhouse afterwards what more could you ask for! Also Saturday afternoon social is great fun – just turn up and play. Contact me if you need further details.
